Personal & Professional Background

My journey with psychedelic medicines coincided with the beginning of my journey as a medical professional, though I felt like I was living with my feet in two separate worlds. One world was marked by white coats, business casual attire, the climb of a medical career ladder, and the relentless pursuit of perfectionism in a high-stress, high-stakes environment. In this world, I checked all the boxes - finishing grad school, getting married, buying a home, and building a successful 10-year career at an academic medical center in the VA Medical System. It was the picture-perfect life. 

My other world existed in the shadows of the underground and counter-culture. Weekends and time off were filled with music, renegade desert parties, festivals, Burning Man, open relationships, extreme sports, late nights, and deep psychonautic explorations with various psychedelics. I wore a different mask in each world, but the common thread was that both were facades. Beneath it all, I was angry, chronically anxious, stressed out, emotionally dysregulated, and completely disconnected from myself. 

My two worlds collided in healthcare worker burnout, divorce, and eventually leaving my career and home. In the most challenging moments, I turned back to my psychedelic allies - this time not as an escape, but with reverence and intention, seeking wisdom and answers. Ayahuasca and psilocybin became my teachers, guiding me back to myself and truth. As I faced my past traumas and reconnected to my body, energy, and intuition, I began the transformative practice of healing - reclaiming my embodied wholeness, innate wisdom, and self-sovereignty.

Today, my philosophy is that we are all our own best healers. My passion and practice is creating spaces where others can reconnect with their authentic selves and realize their self-sovereignty. Through trainings in somatic breathwork, Reiki energy healing, traditional medicine ceremony apprenticeship as well as my own meditation and visualization methods, I’ve cultivated a holistic practice past Western medicine to support others on their unique healing journey. Healing is not about becoming someone new but reclaiming the wholeness and wisdom that has always been within you. It is my honor to support others on this sacred journey.
